Interesting Links

Useful resources, tools, and articles about color vision deficiency.

Although we at TCV know a lot about color vision, this page is dedicated to websites that complement our vision of helping spread awareness about color vision deficiencies. A link to each website will be posted and then a short synopsis about the site will be given.

A Nurse's Guide to Assessing Color Blindness

This website was developed by Maryville University and provides excellent information and resources for those who are looking for information on color vision deficiencies. We would like to thank Ben, a color vision deficient individual, who has been a champion in spreading awareness about color vision deficiencies.

Colblindor (https://www.color-blindness.com/)

Colblindor was developed by Daniel Flueck who was born colorblind. Daniel constantly updates the site with information pertaining to the color vision field and gives a unique and credible point of view of all things color vision related.

Color Vision Powerpoint by Dr. Rabin

Dr. Rabin developed this excellent PowerPoint presentation that describes color vision deficiencies. It is a very technical presentation created for a scientific audience. We highly recommend it if you are doing research on color vision for college or graduate school.

No Such Thing As Color (https://www.nosuchthingascolor.com/)

This short video is about a gentleman with colorblindness and how it has affected his life. It is a very interesting video and I highly recommend watching it.

WhatColor Application (https://www.hikarun.com/e/)

This application was developed to help people with color vision deficiencies. The users can point their cursor anywhere on their computer and WhatColor tells the user what color it is.

Websites to a Colorblind Person (https://colorfilter.wickline.org/)

This website allows people to type in the URL of any website and see what it looks like to someone with a color vision deficiency. We highly recommend this to web developers.
